ToM Spotlight 16
The Story So Far

he Galena Mountains have been disturbed. Once a lush and peaceful ground for hunters, the villages near the Galena Mountains now quake in fear of the tribe of Kobolds marching down the mountain side. Adventurers of Phlan have set out to counter the attacks for glory (and gold). But rumors are beginning to circulate of the sightings of footprints of giants three humans high and a mysterious fortress perched high on the mountains' edge that warns of something more sinister afoot.
In the Quivering forest, woodcutters and hunters alike have been fleeing the dark woods head over heels, speaking of horrible demons, monsters and trees that rise from the ground and attack all who dare to enter it's inner sanctums.
But Phlan's problems persist. From the silent burial of Wynth Summerset within the Waiting, to the slaying of a small band of righteous guards who dared to rally Phlan and clean up filth in the city's sewers below, Phlan has seen it's share of assassinations and murders as the tide of politics shift in unexpected directions.
ToM Updates to Patch 1.23
Tales of Moonsea server has updated to the 1.23 patch. Great! But what does this mean to you as a player? Well for starters, no more Worldgate downloading and the hassles it entailed. We've found great success with the new built-in autodownloading feature that now comes with the latest patch. Combining this with our Subversion backbone means a much smoother revision process for ToM and a greatly reduced chance of losing precious work. After your initial download, the updates are much much smaller.

New DM To ToM
We have a new and fantastic DM aboard ToM. This one was carefully crafted by constructing him from spare parts found in the local taxidermy's dumpster, glued together with edible kindergarden paste and cocooned in a paper machete of old Monster Manual (version 2.0 baby, nothing less!) pages soaked in Jolt Cola to incubate for 3 months. What emerged called itself
Hexadecimal. Hex has been running some intense DM games since and has been a great addition to the team. Greets Hex!
Developer Blogs
We've started a new trend of posting developer blogs centered around our work with the Tales of Moonsea server and NWN2 in general. It offers sneak peeks into what things we are developing along with the joys and struggles of designing a Persistent World like Tales of Moonsea. Located under the Developer Updates Topic, feel free to have a read.

New Content Added: Text Macro
Tired of typing out "Greetings" every time you pass someone? Is it a burden to paste out all the lines of your Bard's song? Well, we've got something for you. The Text Macro UI has been modified and implemented into ToM's UI. To access it, simply type in ".tm" into DMFI's chat panel.

Overland Map of the Moonsea Added
There's still paint and polish to apply and established areas to work on but the Overland Map is now functioning in the game in a beta form. Thanks to Cognitive Chaos, you can now finally get outside of Phlan and explore beyond the ruins of the city of Phlan.
