Playing Ketchup
That's right folks, I am back! I've been back for about a week now, and I must say - I am 'VERY' impressed with how far this server has come since just under a year ago when I went on break. My first few nights back were spent solely catching up on the DM forums, and let me tell you, there is A LOT to catch up on. A week in, and I'm just now starting to catch up on all the awesome currently running DM plots that are out there for you all to find. There's so much to read, that I had to buy a "DM Notebook" just so I can scribe notes and opinions as I read and catch up on things, just so I don't get sidetracked on other topics and completely forget what it was I read an hour ago. My third night in, I got so antsy reading the forums, that I just had to get my game reinstalled so I could hop IG despite not knowing a single solid fact about what's going on currently.
Me bored while waiting for the game to install. My "DM Notebook" can be seen on the right. Text blurred to prevent spoilers.Yeah, yeah. I know what you guys are going to say. You're not going to let me take a peek at what's in the notebook, Combs? As much as I'd love for you guys to take a peek, it would totally ruin the surprise of what's to come in the future! In this picture, my notebook is opened up to the "future direction of the server" section where I detail my plans with future plots, areas, and even an exciting possible new DM faction that we're 99.9999% sure you guys are going to love! To reveal any further information about these plans would be way premature, but just keep being patient guys, and your patience will most certainly be rewarded sooner than later! I can't describe how excited I am for us to take the next big leap.
My first time back in game, I was lucky to have Hexadecimal along side of me to show me the ropes of some of the fun new DM tools we have at our disposal. Nocebo put a lot of work into these new tools, and I was very much in awe at how easy the interface is! To get my DMing mojo back, Hex and I ran a little event that night involving a certain Evarar caravan, and recruited a few players to take part! The event was pretty simple, and didn't link to any plots in particular, but it was exactly what I needed to get me comfortable with the DMing interface once more. Here's a little screenshot of the party leaving the city and traveling to the caravan in distress:

I've spent little time in game since then, trying to finish my catch-up on the forums so that I can help progress the currently running progress as opposed to creating new ones. But of course! That doesn't mean I'm not looking to concept up a little plot of my own. I want to hear a little somethin' somethin' from the players about what kind of plots you guys think the server is lacking, and what you would like me to put some attention to as far as in game focus goes! Send me some PMs with your ideas, and I will most certainly consider each one. Start shooting me those PMs!
Until next time, see you guys in Phlan!
